Breast Cancer Awareness

October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. If you are a woman, between the ages of 45-54 and have never had a mammogram, please take advantage of the resources available to you in the month of October through the Susan G. Komen Foundation. I am not affiliated with it, but know it is a great source to help others find healthcare providers who offer free mammograms. Get your tattas checked! Early detection saves lives.

In an effort to bring awareness to Breast Cancer as well as a little happiness to a warrior or survivor, I am participating in the #paintitpink2020 campaign. Artists of all kinds are joining hands, creating something beautiful and gifting it to either a warrior or survivor in their areas. So far, artists in 25 states, parts of Canada, The United kingdom and Germany are participating - that is amazing! I am gifting a piece of painted furniture (2 actually) to a warrior or survivor in the Greater Pittsburgh and Greater Harrisburg Pa area as well as a handpainted plaque available to a participant anywhere in Pa. I am so proud of everyone’s efforts!

If you’d like to nominate someone in any state participating you just need to go to http://paintitpink.club. I’m keeping my furniture pieces under wrap until the final reveal the week of October 31 but you can see parts of it on my facebook page https://www.facebook.com/mylittleflowerdesigns. But - I’d love to show you the plaque! If you’d like to order a custom one for someone you know please contact me. They are $55 plus s/h and $10 of that will be donated to The Breast Cancer Foundation. As always, thank you for your support!
